Siak Wee Yeo has been devoted to the world of aquascaping for almost 20 years and won the Champion of ISTA and IAPLC.
At the beginning, he was passionated about Natural Aquarium style and Forest Style, but now he is focusing more on the visual effect of the aquascape. He likes to challenge different styles and manage the tricks inside. When he first met the lighting of ONF, he decided to use it for his new aquascape. He likes and feels very satisfied with the outlook, design, and durabilty of ONF lighting.
To me, aquascaping is a form of living art. It would change and evolve with time. In every stage there are different surprises. I am a very indoorsy person. Since I was a child, I have always been interested in nature and fish. You may say I am obsessed with them, but I think this means I have been attached with aquascape since my childhood.
In the past 10 years, I have been studying and exploring my interest in aquascaping. My motivation always comes from competitions. Competition has not only elevated myself towards my interest in aquascaping, it has also brought me the friends from around the world, and broadened my horizon since then.
My inspirations for aquascaping come from my love and feeling of the nature. Despite the changes of my style, the nature has always been the source of all my inspirations. That's why every year I would plan a wildlife exploration trip, where I can embrace the mother nature and discover the harmony of light and shadow in the nature.
My ONF Corner is a "fishroom" renovated from a bedroom. This is also my sanctuary. Sometimes, when I have a quarrel with my wife, I would come here to calm down. As an aquascape maniac, I was really thankful that when I designed this house my wife has agreed to reserve a room, where I could work on my creations. Nowadays, my family would spend time together in this space, and my kids love observing my works and would feed the fish for me.
