Aldrin Taroy started aquascaping when he was in university, first discovered the world famous aquarist Takashi Amano and was given one of his Nature Aquarium World books. Aldrin have instantly fallen in love with aquascaping.
He follows many aquascapers who use ONF products and finally bought his ONF Flat Nano+ a few months ago. He can say for sure that it’s one of the best lights he’ve purchased and he can’t wait to buy more ONF lights for his other scapes.
I love to use a variety of plants to create a more natural aquascape.
I'm fascinated by the idea that you can recreate nature or a memory you had of interacting with the natural world. I love river and forest scenes because this was an integral part of my childhood. I'm interested in storytelling. My aquascapes are based on memories of me growing up in a small town in the Philippines and wandering around nature and rivers that were all around us.
Aquascaping is an escape from my work life and it's a way for me to reconnect with nature, which is quite important to me.

I spend a lot of time in this space. I don't watch a lot of TV, so it's a place where I can enjoy the scape and also read quietly. My partner loves this space a much because we have a lot of natural elements and houseplants that create a sense of calm and relaxation.
