As an interior designer, Rick, has been involved in aquascaping since 2007 when he participated in the IAPLC. After he met about ONF from Facebook and realized this lighting has not only brightened up the aquacape and the space, but also greatly improved the plant growth, making aquascaping much easier, life then becomes simple.
Rick also runs a Facebook page named “Green Inspire”, where he shares his feelings to the nature through the greenery of mountains, moss, Sabi-Wabi, wabikusa, water plants and so on.
On his recent posts at @green_inspire , he shares many interpretations and documented moments of greenery in daily life and travels, offering a variety of perspectives and insights.
To share the beauty from my eyes, healing through greenary is the reason why i keep creating.
As a designer, my strength is putting beautiful things together. It also applies to my aquascape. My friends always ask me how to be natural. Nature is never easy to craft intentionally. It needs time to take care. With time and effort, the plants would definitely grow naturally.
Coexistence of the nature is never easy. Some plants like hard water, some plants like soft water. You have to learn and find the balance in between. It's just like learning how to get along with others. The plants can teach us be more tolerance. They can always find a way to coexist in the same space and one's existence might bring out the others.
Nature & Forest inspire me. Plants evolve in four seaons. By observation and follow the flow and your heart, you can naturally create a seasonal wabikusa.
My ONF corner is in my studio. I am surrounded by greenery at work. They make me feel calm and relax. Even my family love this space. This is a perfect corner to zone out and relax.
